Hi all,
Before I leave on this six day trip, I would like the group to look around
for something for me.
I am looking for a pair of TB headlamp rims. I need the ones that fit the
flat glass i.e.., with the straight aspect and larger lip. There is a
small plate and slot in the bottom of my headlight buckets that retain the
rim. There apparently is a hole in the bottom of the rim.
I am also looking for a set of the flat lens for the headlights. These look
almost like frosted glass.
I have seen photos, and they are listed in the '39 Lucas catalog. I don't
know if there was a "continental" version available for driving on the right
hand side of the road, but I suspect it. They may look like the ones on the
S,V,W cars, but I don't know for sure.
Pardon the attachment, but it may help to see the bottom of the bucket that
is on my car. You may be able to visualize how the lens/rim is retained.
The rim shown is not the correct one for the car.
The overall appearance is rather like the M type, but a different size.
You may email off-list if you like. Thanks in advance.
Best,
Ray McCrary
