26" tires, 2.14 rear 5% slip(0.95 speed factor) and 7000 rpm will get you
240.5 mph. 5%slip with about 1000hp is probably the best you'll get with
the hardest, smoothest salt. It goes down from there.
Speed calculation formula: Speed = RPM x tire dia in inches x (1-(slip
percent/100)) / (336 x (ring&pinion ratio/quick change gear ratio))
Anyone who wants my spreadsheet email me. It's a handy tool, especially if
you have a variety of gear ratios available. Any additional data points on
the subject of slip will be much appreciated. Include car info, comments on
course conditions, actual speed from clocks or gps, tach speed, tire
diameter and actual gear ratio.
