Did I mention that in my opinion race engine crank balancing is a waste of
money for these reasons :
Production cranks like the 427 Chev I'm using are balanced only to keep it
from rattling the car . Look at the oversize end counterweights and they work
fine .
While the piston and rods are changing speed the crank is underbalanced . When
the piston speed is constant they're over balanced .
Crank balancers can't tell which part is off , only the average .
