This is the ugly side of the current legal structure all us Constitution
supporting, drug hating, law and order types turn our backs on. Get accused
of certain crimes and the accuser gets to take your stuff and you have
nothing to say about it. You are clearly guilty enough without anyone
proving it to be deprived of everything you own.
But this is not the American way!! It's unconstitutional!!
Sorry kiddies. It may not be the American way; but it sure is the United
States of America way whether you like it or not.
They have lots of ways to take your property without due process and
liability for any permanent loss. Anyone who has had something valuable of
theirs "lost" in an evidence locker knows about this.
