Neil, if I recall correctly Lucite is just another brand name for Plexiglass. They are both methyl methacrilate. For the canopy in my Lakester I'm using PETG. It has the same basic properties as Lexan (polycarconate) but better optical clarity. Aircraft Windshield in Los Alamitos formed it for me.
