Mayf,

Don't be testy, JD answered the fogging question... I have worn a Simpson
Bandit"  Helmet that has a built-in skirt for several years. I also wear a
head sock so I can't differentiate between the two. I suspect that either
will cause fogging under certain conditions, especially early mornings
because the exhaling is adding moisture to the air inside the helmet. I know
that I have had some risky situations because of fogging.

The helmet I have now has a fresh air attachment,  a pump inside the car
supplies the air. Fogging is not a problem anymore.  In a closed car such as
mine, I would suggest that you get filtered air from outside the car. This
way fuel fumes and fire would have less affect on the breathing. That is on
my list of changes this year.
