Malcolm... I concur... great comments... it's one of the reasons I hate hand 
brakes in roadsters...  simply a piss poor answer to a common problem that 
folks with real fabrication skills can avoid.

( can you tell I'm not a fan of a handle one grabs to slow a car? )
