OddToe, that was me who penned the gem "now it's as exciting as
watching paint dry."
David Mobley-Anderson (HOW did all 3 of us Anderson's end up on this LIST
???) was defending the 'aural and physical' of NHRA....
- but you are 100% correct-a-mundo about LSR being THE best there is.
And for the very reasons you cite. Good job cousin.
of course, " your mileage MAY vary "

love to stand 2/3 of way down the track and feel the top fuel boys blow
by! The sound and pressure waves are totally wild.

Hi David
Hey, hey, watching paint dry!? Come on! At least, like you point out, you
can feel the power in your chest as they go by, you have to wear ear plugs
to
protect your hearing and you can smell the nitro.
Now move the spectators 1/4 mile away from the track, take the feels,
sounds
and smells away from drag racing and then take one of the competing cars
away where all runs are "BY" runs and what do you have???
LSR!
Wanna talk about paint drying?
LSR isn't a spectator sport by nature. That doesn't take anything away from
it! It is the most exciting race venue I have pursued. All the excitement is
with the driver, crew and friends and family.
LSR is the only motor sport with any ingenuity left in it for the race
teams. That's a biggie.
