Tom, On a push rod motor its. How good are your valve springs with a
short stroke motor and how good are your pistons in a long stroke
motor. A 3" stroke motor will have a piston speed of 4000 fpm at 8000
rpm and a 3.75 stroke motor will have a piston speed of 5000 fpm at 8000
rpm. A very big difference in how long it will live. Thats the first
thing to look at.
