My understanding is that as a fuel a given amount of hydrogen burned in an
internal combustion engine creates more heat than the same amount of
gasoline. Is this true, or is this stating the question too simplistically?Help
me here all you engineers and chemists. If it is true and that the burning of
hydrogen produces no pollution-assuming it was produced from non-polluting
sources-it would seem to me the future of racing LSR,Nascar,Dragracing etc.,
could be secured if the racing communities would embrace this alternative to
fossil fuels . I watched "An Inconvenient Truth" last night-a powerful
commentary. I want to keep racing but not at the expense of our children's
future.Does anyone on the list know to what extent hydrogen cars development
is progressing,if at all? Is anyone in racing-LSR interested in prusuing this
avenue? Will Hydrogen be the racing fuel of tommorrow? Scott
