James;
I have a book somewhere that has that info but it is packed up in a box
right now.
AN fittings are sized by the number of sixteenths of an inch the fitting is;
a -8 fitting would be 8/16" or 1/2". Your -12 fitting is 12/16" or 3/4". The
thread pitch, however, is specified by the AN/MS standards. The tube end is
a straight thread but there are adapters with a pipe thread end.

Subject: Tap & drill size
Anyone out there know the tap size for AN-12 fittings.
By comparasion it appears to have 12 threads per inch but a 1" 12 tap seems
a little small. I need to tap a hole in an aluminum valve cover and I would
rather not weld to it and I don't have room for a bulkhead nut. Thanks
