| Wayne Atkinson clued me in that the stock Packard oil pump is a loser even with it's built in pan-evac system. So I got the 455 Olds pump and the adapter which came with instructions to install a full flow filter on the Pac. I've always used full flow filters and was concerned that the Pac was partial flow, but now I am wondering if it's really worth drilling into the bearing web to do it. It's not like it will rack up lots of miles. Any input? RF |
