Since I run an engine with solid lifters the zinc quantity is very important to me...The info in how stuff works tells a lot but I already knew the answer on the % of zinc. I will continue to put in GM additive and use a high zinc oil...The diesel 15-40 has always been the best but as of 10-01-06 they have also changes.....Damn I hate everyone telling me whats best for me...J.D. ----- Original Message ----- Subject: Fw: Vacuum Pumps, etc.. > Forwarded with edits >>> deeper into this stuff about oil grades and viscosities: >> http://www.lube4life.com/viscosit.htm#Viscosity%20Comparison%20Table >> > >http://auto.howstuffworks.com/framed.htm?parent=question164.htm&url=http://www.micapeak.com/info/oiled.html >> And here are several engineering forums that may be interesting to dig >> around in: |
