Elon, On the normal u-joint driveshaft, the angle at the rear end and at the transmission should be the same for good operation. (upward at the rear and downward at the front) The primary reason for the double cardin (constant velocity) drive shafts was to allow a downward angle at both ends of the shaft which resulted in less or no driveshaft tunnel. I can see no advantage in a race car which usually has no, or very little angle at either end. Tom, Redding CA - #216 D/FCC |
