OK, how about making the meet longer? Just a few days. Don't allow newbie
licensing the first part of the meet. Let the heavy hitters and licensed
drivers
have at it when the course is good. Many leave when they set their records.
In the last part of the meet, turn the newbies loose after things slow down.
This would also spread out the lines at tech. Tech the newbies the day before
they start running, say Wednesday.
This way everybody still gets to run at Speed Weeks but it would spread out
the crowds.
I think a third course just for test and tune without any timing lights is
also feasible to lighten the loads at the starting lines.
