Glen, I see your point, but a car going 180mph takes 60 seconds to go 3 
miles. A car going 240mph  takes 45 seconds. Difference of only 15 
seconds. The car going 180mph should be able  to slow down and get off 
the course faster than the one going 240mph also. Messing around at the 
starting line wastes a lot more time than that.   Doug Odom in big ditch
