Not up here it isn't. We're watching the snow melt. Last night we got
our first dusting of the season -- an inch or so, and today it's windy
as a bugger and cold-but-sunny. To think that we could have been at
World Finals -- and get to stay for this instead. Hmmmm. I got the
big Oshkosh snowplow truck running yesterday, having discovered what
points are supposed to do inside the distributor. Remember them old
things? Remember how the rubbing block wears and timing goes all to
hell? Now all I've got to do is discover why that pedal right in the
middle, between clutch and throttle, does nothing but hold my foot in
place. Isn't that the pedal that's supposed to make the truck slow
down?
Not quiet in Marquette.
