Eutectic- Castolin Institute used to publish a good tutorial on repair
welding of various materials and cast iron was one. If I remember, they
recommended a high- nickel rod and both pre- and post- heating to
eliminate cracking.

I just can across a bowtie block that somebody let freeze. All the
damage seems to be in the outside water jacket. What would be the best
way to repair it?
