DOE recently announced a $1.4M project to partner with industry "to study the economic feasibility of producing hydrogen at existing commercial nuclear plants." GE Global Research is also proposing a study of hydrogen production using alkaline electrolysis powered by existing nuclear power plants. Using emission-free nuclear power is part of the president's energy strategy. -Elon |
