I can hardly wait. Got a lotta stuff out and ready to go. The
mini-chopper pit bike is tuned up and tested, the coolers and
sleeping bag are set out. Maybe I otta think about some stuff to put
in said coolers.
I'm really lookin forward to SW. Got my calendar marked and just
chompin at the bit.
There are car shows/cruise nites in the SLC area on the 18th, 19th
and 20th...then the Daytona Prototypes/GrandAm race at Miller's track
on 8/31-9/2. I gotta get my tickets for that one.
I have a friend from the Nova mailing list who was kind enough to
lend me his 80-210 mm zoom lens for the events so that I can use the
35mm camera instead of/in addition to the digi-cam. I hope to get
some good pics for the website.
I heard thru the local circle-track grapevine that the Nish group
will have their streamliner there with the smallblock motor for a
shakedown run in preparation for running with the rat motor at WoS or
WF. So be prepared to see Royal Purple on the long course.
I'd love to take my 29 Model A rat pickup out there, but it's just
not gonna be ready in time. I've still gotta wire the whole
mess...I've got the ignition and gauges wired up, but I'm putting a
Painless harness in with halogen headlights and integrated turn
signals...so there's gonna be a bit of work yet to be done. There
are pics of the process here:
http://www.chevyasylum.com/Welcome1.html I spose I could trailer it,
but I don't have a hitch or brake controller on the Ugly Truck. So
many things to do, so little time do them in. Maybe at WF.
I need to update the site with the current stuff. Maybe tomorrow. I
spent today relocating my computer room and I'm all tuckered out.
Ray the rat.
