Hi Jon
I've used the rubber tool dip you normally coat wrench handles with to
insulate terminals and wires from moisture and vibration. I brushed it on. They
have actually come out with a brush on terminal insulator called "liquid
electrical tape" to do the same thing.
Throw on a few coats to build it up and it's like a plastic coating covering
all exposed metal. It also insulates the wires/terminals from vibration at
the terminal to wire joint.
I went with a 30# pressure switch ( Summit Racing) as a safety light for oil
pressure and a big ol bright yellow drag shift light pointing right at my
big mug so I don't miss it.
