I know lots of folks use Oberg type screen filters on the pressure side to
the engine. You might want to rethink that if you can in your (or any)
application. I use screen filters as scavenge side filters on dry sump
engines, this
allows me to inspect my engine between runs & lets me know ahead of time if
I might have a problem developing. On the engine side I use a paper element
type filter. If you've ever taken your engine apart to freshen it you will
notice all that silt like material at the bottom of the oil pan, you can write
your name in it. This is what a screen filter can't stop, if your bearings
look like trash at rebuild this can be part of the reason. Ring & cylinder
bore
material along with titanium retainer & spring residue might make you see
what I mean.
