Silly millimeters. Great for scientific work in a universe of infinite
scale. Not so great for working in the scale of human perception. A
"gift" from the Europeans who for 500 years have insisted they know how best
to run the world. Brainwash for two generations of US engineers. I'll have
more respect for the metric system whae I don't have to pay a premium price
for things calibrated that way from fasteners to lathes........ Don't
encourage me in this......it's a favorite rant.
