KT, after seeing the movie last nite I wrote something to editor of that
magazine, which I will post directly after this. And... "kickass", "well
worth the hour+ drive", and "the best Valentine's Day movie we've ever seen"
are just a few thoughts that come to mind.
Got to say Deb and I feel very fortunate to be able to say we have the
friends we do through the ECTA, this sport and places like this list... and
we shared those thoughts last nite with a couple and their daughter that are
dear friends of the directors wife and were at the movie also(they watched
her grow up next door here in VA, and are even going to have a box of
promotional goodies and what sounds to be a cool shirt sent to us from them).
Was funny that after the movie was over only Deb, myself and these neighbors
were there to watch the credits until the screen turned black(saw a few names
from here in there which was very cool too). Well, they asked directly what
we thought and if we knew what the LSR world thought of the movie so they
could pass it along. We have some stuff(pics and such) we plan on passing to
them from a friend of my brothers that sent us the pics, some chocolate, a
few shirts and some literatur from the original opening in the New Zealand
town that Burt lived... in as he lives there also and was at the opening
(notice how I avoided the spelling of the trown there). We will also include
links to here and all the thoughts we have heard on this(in case you have
anything to add, we'd be glad to include it if you send me a mail directly).
This will all be passed on to Roger Donaldson personally from what we
undeerstand. Even found it's suppose to have a second go around with a larger
showing.
At anyrate thanks to one and all for allowing us to be a minut part of this
sport that means so much to us and continues to let us meet more new, down to
earth and interesting people everyday.
