Elon... there was one point that Rich made which really had some merit... That had to do with qualifying for the long course even thou the actual record motor might or might not get that done... There are folks that are stuck on the short course because the car simply won't qualify for the long course... if they ever got to the long course they might eek out a record... but the motor wouldn't have the butt to get the job done on the short course..... some of those folks might take offense to you doing that.... and they would be right. Brad and I worked several years at just gaining experience.... some of it was simply an exercise in frutility... but all of it has had it's merit.... the one thing we never did was leave here without at least the slightest hope of setting a record.... so whatever you do in the planning stages that furthers your opportunity to accomplish that has value.
