How about spacing the springs in with washers between them and the
brackets. Some use different lenght
Dzus buttons for double panels, etc. Spacing in with washers could make then
all the same, space allowing.
I would use stainless AN washers - thinner, smaller, won't go away in the
salt. Mutiples if necessary. Just my thoughts.
