Keith you will be surprised how much you will use it. I even gave my drill 
press to my son just to get it out of my way. I wasn't sure if I wanted to 
spend 
the $1000.00 for the DRO but that was the best money I every spent on the 
machine. Check with ebay for tooling your machine they have a lot equiptment. I 
just bought a DRO to put on the quill from ebay and it works great.
