Don Aluminum rods would work ok if they clear your cam and you notch your cylinder walls . Outlaw sprinters change aluminum rods every 250 miles . It's not the same thing but that's a lot of runs at Bonneville . Either because they are lighter or because the big ends stay rounder under load or some other reason , bearings work better in aluminum rods though that shouldn't be a factor with your engine . |
