At the USFRA meeting tonight, Hugh Coltharp reported
that the salt is totally under water. The canals on either
side of the flats are bank full as well.
The new mining company, Intrepid Potash, is being very
open and cooperative about the salt restoration project.
They are handling the brine in a different way than
Reilly did. Apparently they are filling several ponds with
fresh water and getting the brine to the needed 18-22%
salt content before they start pumping it onto the flats.
The actual pumping should start within the next month.
There is a link on the USFRA web site to the Intrepid
Potash home page.

out their site.
