Thanks for all the replies on this. I had no intentions of trying to skirt the
rules. I was just curious. I had no idea that automatics could blow as
violently as flywheels and clutches. I'll run the line outside the frame, and
I'll run it through a leftover piece of roll cage tubing just to boot.

The rules already require a 360 degree 1/4" metal shield for the
flywheel/clutch assy. The fuel & coolant line shielding is in ADDITION to
the shield.
Dan, I already wrote up the rule change request almost a year ago and then
promptly forgot to send it in. Sometimes my alzheimers is more of a
hinderence than a help.
