Wes, I'd always had a good impression of you -- but what you said is
tantamount to spitting on the grave of Col. Harlan Sanders. White
Castle -- mmm-good! White Castle, for those of you not in the know, is
a burger chain that started in Columbus, Ohio, in the 20's, featuring
small meat patties -- about 1 1/2 oz of meat -- grilled on a
steam-heated grill. In the 40's they added a pattern of five holes in
the center to promote quick cooking. They are similar to the food of
the gods -- but better. A common portion for lunch might be 4-6 White
Castles -- ten isn't out of the question for a hungry person. They're
up to 46 cents each these days.
You can buy 'em frozen at some (better-class) grocery stores. Go to
www.whitecastle.com to learn more.
