Mayf;

Some guys have used an automatic transmission torque converter as a dyno
brake but those were for engines in a VW power range. I don't know what
an upper power limit might be for that approach.

Subject: Water Brakes

I am looking into building a home made dyno of sorts. I need tolocate 2
identical, cheap, second hand water brakes or 700 to 1000 hp each with
an rpm range of abot 4000 rpm max. I am not looking to buy a chassis
dyno however, 2 identiocal engine dynos might be a starting place. Any
thoughts on where I might find such beasts? I been searching google all
day.

lemme know

mayf
