Push Bars. They are a good thing. My car does not have one yet, just ran
out of time. But, when I look at the rule book, only those cars which
arenot capable of self starting and I assume that means taking off under
their own power, requires one. Now I just do not understand that. It is
pretty common that cars get pushed off the course by official when
required. So why aren't push bars required on every vehicle. The same
rule would be sufficient, just the words about self starting would need
to be changed. Maybe a word or 2 about the height of the bar, so that it
would meet any official vehicle could be added.
And no, this was not an issue with my car when it was pre-inspected.
Just an odd thought.
For those interested, I will post my experience later today. I have some
things to do this morning that need to be done first.
