Ok, talking about the log book, so you know I am getting
serious....well....maybe... I understand most of the things in the log
book but there are questions:
Rcord of Vehicle Ownership
1) Competition Number 1542
2) Date Log Issued: 1998
2) Manufacturer/ Builder ????? Is this me? OR is it the original
manufacturer?
3) Type of Vehicle ????? Is this the class in which it is
planned to run?
4) Original Owner ????? IS this me? Or do I have to track
down the first owner of the car from 1966?
5) MAjor Modification for class ????? The only thing left is the outer
skin and doors.hood/trunk? What do I put for it?
Technical & SAfety Inspection
1) Main Frame: The original frame is still there but new one added.
What do I put down?
2) Material: Mild steel
3) Main Hoop: 1 5/8 x 0.134 wall mild steel tubing
4) Fore and Aft Bracing: 1 5/8 x 0.134 wall mild steel tubing
5) Supplemental Bracing: 1 5/8 x 0.134 wall mild steel tubing
6) Attachments: What kind of attachments? zillions of them
Safety Equipment Cars & Motorcycles
1) Seat Belts Year purchased: not available yet
2) SEMA Tag Number: is this SFI tag?????
3) Width: 3 inches
4) No. of Connection Points: 5
5) Fire System Brand: have to look
6) Type: Halon
7) Date last filled: Is this the inspectors date? Hell who k nows when
it was originally filled?
8) Chute: No. of chutes: 1
9) Make: Stroud
10) Wind Screen Material: Lexan
Green is ok, I think. Red is questions. Is there any answers among you
or the technical folk?
I need to fill in all this stuff. What about pictures for the inspectors
to look at? Early construction pictures.
What I am looking for in the inspection is the things I missed or need
to be a do over. I think I have done everything right and not for
redesign unless it does not meet rule book. Any help out there regards
my questions?
mayf, and thank you
