Ground

My neighbor bought a new truck and immediately began having all sorts of 
strange problems.  Different idiot lights would come on at different times 
(like the parking brake light when the parking brake was clearly not set) and 
other strange behavior.  After 3 days back and forth to the dealer the problem 
was found - a bad ground strap.  

It's been said here many times. Check those grounds.
