Per 5.E.3 air "scoops" are allowed. But I find no definition of air "scoops"
in section 4. Does Section 4.B "Air Intakes" apply? This describes "air
intakes" as "ducted airflow devices... [for]...combustion air..." If this
section applies, so far, so good.
It further says "air intakes must not originate below the original stock
location and, on rear engine cars in the rear 50% of the body." Is the
point of origination at the point of air entry? or at the carb or injection
inlet? Can it pass through the cockpit to rear engines? Can anyone give me a
"ferinstance" or three to explain this? I'm confused. Thx.
