Well, since you brought it up Keith I thought I would mention another
consideration. I raised this issue about 2 years ago and the really sharp
guys got it on the first click and I thank you.
Folks many on this list get their email in "Digest" format. That means all
of the emails for the day are attached into one long email. When you simply
hit "reply" you attach the complete content of the original email as well as
your response. This is total unnecessary and it makes the "Digest" difficult
to read and exacerbates Mark's storage issues on the list server. Note at
the top of every message Mark J. Bradakis, List Janitor says "EDIT YOUR
REPLIES". That request means when you reply you should only include the
minimal amount of original text necessary to convey the intent of the
original message. It is not necessary to feedback the whole thing! Please
take the time to edit and minimize the original message, your LSR "Digest"
readers will love you for it. -Elon
