Normally you see cage tubes nicely fish mouthed together but sometime I've seen the halo bar above the driver tied to the main hoop, not with the tubes fitted together but sort of a lap joint. There's this bracket welded to the the top of the main hoop with a hole that takes the end of the halo bar, all welded together. I can see the convince of doing it this way but does it make the joint weaker. RichK |
