These are genuine half-size copies of the original, all right. But this
was a drawing of the original prototype dated Dec. '47. A few details
were changed later for practical reasons.
When Don Orosco reproduced the Ardun heads some years ago(which Don
Ferguson took over and still manufactures now) they had no original
drawings. The job had to be done by 'reverse engineering' from a good
set of Arduns. The Orosco/Ferguson heads use 12mm plugs rather than the
original cartridge fire setup with 18mm flat-seat plugs.
The O/F heads have already been tested and proven at Bonneville the last
few years. Jim Travis' 'World's Fastest Ardun' Pumpkinseed 'liner uses
