Now that the SCTA/BNI have moved from two way FIA international operating
procedures at the World Finals to their own International two 'same
direction' (away from I 80) runs, does anyone have an e mailable copy of
the procedures? What is the course length (timed and total), what is the
'turnaround process' and are push starts permitted? Please send me details.
In the past British speed teams have had to make their FIA International
speed attempts on private time on the salt. But in recent years with the
FIA attendance at the World Finals the opportunity was available to plan to
take part in an organised event with multiple entries and reduced (shared)
costs. I know teams have been building cars to meet SCTA construction
rules in anticipation.
Now the overseas teams (Brits in particular) will have to determine the
International value of a 'BNI International speed record' as against the
'FIA International' version - or indeed the value of the BNI International
speed record against an 'SCTA National (long course) speed record'.
Information on this new operating procedure may help me decide how to
advise UK car speed contenders and clear up my confusion.
