What is the down side of haveing the rod length to stroke ratio to big.
Maybe a better question is how much is too much. Mine will be 1.86 in the
chevy "C" motor I am about to build. 6.200 rods and 3.33 stroke. That will
leave 1.165 compression height minus what we might take off the deck.

That still gives a rod ratio of 2.19 pretty long by most standards
