Tom, Carroll Shelby is the Goodyear race tire dist. for the western states
(310-538-2914). They have or can get any tire you need. They come in 3 basic
sizes for the "land speed tire" in a front runner profile. These tires are made
for land speed racing and are rated @ between 1500 & 1700 load each @ 300 mph.
They also have a tire that's rated @ 3000 lbs load @ 300 mph but it does have
a wide (10") footprint. Several people have run these tires well into the 290
