Jon I had to do my own after a few expensive botched attempts from supposed
experts in the field
It seems nobody has the proper setup to do motorcycle tires on motorcycle
wheels
Don't let them mount your tire on a car wheel and do it that way.....out
will have out of round tires
I would contact bub and see who he recommends

Subject: Shaving motorcycle tires
Okay, Bub's won't let us run over 2 bills without having either shaved
tires or a manufacturer's written promise that its' tires will live at
speeds in excess of 200. Since I expect there's no way on earth that
Dunlop or Michelin or any of 'em will give me a written statement to
that effect, how do I go about getting tires shaved? Do I take 'em to
the local Bandag retread shop where they take off the old rubber before
retreading my 10R22.5 truck tires? (I didn't think so. . .)
I asked a racer (that runs his bike at speeds well over 200) at Maxton
last weekend, and his response was that the shop that shaves his does
it as a personal favor -- doesn't want to do it, won't do it for money,
doesn't want this piece of business from others.
Any help for me?
