Unless I'm mistaken, Zinc DithiophosPhate is one of the main ingredients
in the little can of "break-in" lube that the cam suppliers used to
include with their solid lifter kits; maybe they still do. It is an
anti-scuffing agent.
It isn't surprising that it would be an ingredient in "Racing Oil".

Neil, it also has high enough levels of ZDDP that it has to be reported
on the MSDS.
The level of ZDDP in car rated oil doesn't. I > believe < that if the
level is below
1,000 PPM it's not required on the MSDS. I wish I knew for sure.
