Hi Folks.
Got here in Germany a guy, he likes to run at Bonneville this year with a
Harley in the 1650cc class.
Due to this that he was never before at Bonneville, he got some requests.
His English - to his opinion - is not good enough to communicate the way he
likes, so he is sending the requests to my e-mail address.
What he really need, is a information about carburators at the Harley.
Bonneville is 4400 feet altitude - he lives about 300 feet - so the carburators
needs a other setup with the jets.
His opinion is, that at Bonneville he has to set this carburators leaner, not
richer - I think so too - but how much is it, as a example LA altitude to
Bonneville. He will write me his carburators he is using in his Harley.
Meanwhile I need some Harley riders at Bonneville, who may be can give me an
idea for Gerd - this is this guys name. Would be great if you can contact me
over my e-mail address.
The other thing is, I wrote him that he needs a damper (stabilizer) to keep his
handle bar - front fork - straight at the rough salt - the salt is not so
smooth as a quarter miler drag track. I saw so stabilizer between Fork and
Frame often time at the salt, but may be there is a special one for a Harley,
due to this that a Harley frame is a little bit different than a today Japanese
racer.
Any help is a appriciate, thanks in advance.
See ya
