Skip;

You're right; I should have said Supermarine "Sea Fire".

 See:   http://1000aircraftphotos.com/Contributions/Trempe/2010L.jpg

A Rolls-Royce Griffon Type 83 was also used on the Avro Shackleton.

One other way around the propeller torque roll problem was the way Dornier
approached it in their Do. 335 Pfeil (Arrow) design.

Ron, No they weren't.....

Neil, I know that the Sea Fury's engine turns backwards but the only CR
props I saw at Reno were on P-51's with Griffin engines. Rare Bear ran 495
at Reno one year I was there....that's at about 4000 ft. CR side-by-side
twins might be fun if one failed.......

Pork Pie, And your point is?????? We just have to use that much
power.......we ran about 2800 in Miss America but Red Baron ran about 4500
at one time and Shelton ran about 5000 I'm told when he did a lap at 495.

Skip (This is fun.....who wants to make one?)
