Ed, I suspect what caused Rich to go around was getting off the throttle abruptly. I have had my car get side ways twice on the road under slick conditions. It was out of control going side ways, back and forth, by applying a little throttle I saved it in both cases. Coming off the throttle quickly is very like applying brakes to the wheels. I have found, nearly all cases, if the car is nearing out of control conditions, lifting slightly will straighten the car out. Tom, Redding CA - #216 D/CC |
