Hallo Bill & List....
I'd submit that another 'point of view' might be that those fella's
'failure' the other day can very nicely serve to ADD even more luster to the
Wright's fabulous achievement..
-and make it even more special as it were.
After all, 1.2 mil could'nt make it happen a hundred years later...
-not 'on queue' at least.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EACH AND EVERY ONE...
Cheers,.. & signin' off, -it's your pal,"Dirt Track Doug" in the frozen
north

are.

Keith, the Wright Bros have always been special heroes of mine. The two
volumes of their own papers are still in print today, maybe under $100
still for the set. Their papers tell exactly what happened, in minute
detail.
I felt sort of sorry for the fellas who built the present replica the
other day, bad weather and out in front of 35K people it wouldn't work.
Nonetheless the whole celebration is very fitting and I know many
thousands of young people will be inspired to learn the Wright story,
and will go on and try to be something special like them. Happy
holidays,
-Ardun Bill
