So I went to the Ask Jeeves website and found lots of different places
where the phrase ("mind your p's and q's") might have originated -
French dance lessons, sailors, printers, kids learning to spell, and so
on. And there were quite a few links I didn't follow.
I guess this is another one that's like an Urban Legend -- no real
origin.
