Neil you are 100% correct.
Drag Front-runners and Bonneville Front-runners are different tires designed
for very different applications. They do NOT come from the same molds.
Among other things, the drag tire won't withstand the heat buildup the
Bonneville tire is designed to accommodate. Both tires are dirt cheap
for what you get. The normally damp salt delays problems with
the drag tires which I believe (I didn't say know) would be OK on the
short course as front tires up to about 250 mph. I would not use them
on the long course.

Please don't cut corners when choosing tires Dick. Please!
